Homecoming

He kissed away her tears and held her tightly.
“I thought you were dead,” she sniffed. Her body heaved against his chest.
He continued to caress her back with one hand and kissed the top of her head.
“Just as I remember. You smell sweeter than a new-born babe.” He stroked her bottom, “I can see what I’ve loved most about your body is still pleasant to the touch.”
“Where have you been all of these months?” She pulled way and looked up into his brown eyes.
“I’ve been, uh, detained. Let’s not talk about it now.”
His lips covered hers. She didn’t resist. He pushed her back against the wall while pulling her shift above her hips. The absence of panties made it easy for him to slip a finger between her thighs and glide along her slick crevice.
“I’ve missed you.”
He unzipped his fly then lifted her up with his strong hands. He wrapped her legs around his hips and slid home. The reaquaintance was a silent one as though nothing had been forgotten between them. On the final lunge, he fell against her, pinning her to the wall.
“I’ve missed you too,” he whispered.

  1. Beautifully written and subtly avoids the 'clinical' terms that so often crop up in coarser works. 10/10
