The Only Thing Better Than Sex Is Horny Hump Day

Well, almost better.  This Horny Hump Day I return to The Training which is a WIP in continuation of The Kalaydan Chronicles:  Book I ~ The Moon-kissed Chi.  Grayt and Bezhaynya's relationship continues and is made more special by the children which grow in her belly.  You can read previous entries for The Kalaydan Chronicles here.

   Bezhyanya lay, cradling Grayt with his body, comfortably relaxed.  She moved against him slightly as she reached behind to pull one of his hands around to her belly, encouraging him to stroke it.  He nuzzled her head with his chin and breathed in her woodsy scent slowly then exhaled softly. 

On Kalaydan, a person can sire or bear children by others who aren't their bed-sworn mates.  The disposition of the children is decided by simple rules which ensure a family life (father and mother) for the child.  In the case of some, the "other person" is brought into the household and becomes a family member of sorts.  Bezhyanya is the bedsworn to Arrinay, Kalaydan's ruling woman.  Grayt resides in The Household as Arrinay's serving woman.

Welcome to Horny Hump Day!
This week let's visit The Chamber of Power.  There's more to it than first appears.  Having enjoyed his time tremendously with Grayt on their ride, Bezhanya finds himself completely spent and his cod baby totally unresponsive.  Arrinay and Bezhyanya have ventured down to the chamber room with the intention to revive his now depleted virility.

"Oh, Great Cod and the Holy Fires of the Bowels; you're killing me!"

She paused and released his member.

"No, don't stop; kill me some more."

The author has created a very expressive and erotic society driven by elemental sexual energies. The relationships between characters are believable (often even enviable) and touched by humor and romantic affection as well as more primal sexual lust. Something I liked about this story is that for all its attention to detail, the author was skillful about leaving some things to the imagination. Kudos to Grinelda Markowitz for creating a realistic realm that succeeds in simultaneously feeling futuristic and ancient, as well as characters in whose happiness and well-being I found myself quickly invested. I think lovers of erotica and fantasy fiction will enjoy exploring the world created in this book.

This week, I've selected a few sentences from one of Bezhyanya's romps with Grayt, Mistress Arrinay's serving woman.  Bezhyanya, having not found complete release earlier in his sexual activities with Arrinay, his bed-sworn, goes for a horseback ride with Grayt.  He gets more than he bargained for.  This scene occurs after Grayt has taken her place in her master's saddle.  She's impaled on his koq and facing him, as the snippet suggests.

They rode along, engaged in a deep kiss for miles, each allowing the pressure to build with the increasing gait of the horse.  He reciprocated her movements and soon they were frigging in time to Thronde's gait.  Passion and need heated the air around them.

The shadow stepped from its hiding place and walked silently into the clearing.  It showed itself to be female and clad in all black.  She watched the back of the big man pass into the darkness of the forest.  The moonlight shone on her cadaverous gray skin with its strange greenish aura.  Her mane of jet black hair was even blacker than the big man's and hung loosely past her knees.  She was tall, taller than Arri and moved with a lithe carriage.  She turned to the direction from which she'd come, her all-black eyes searching for the one who watched her.  After a moment's hesitation she took to her feet and sprinted through the woods.  She broadcast her thoughts as she ran.

Sisters.  It has begun.  We must dance in defiance of the moons in the blackness of The Cave of Darkness upon my return.  Make ready. It's time to bring the smell of bloodbane back to the forest.

In a world where the environment contributes to a heightened sexuality, one spends a large percentage of the thirty-hour day engaging in sex play. The ruling family, Mistress Arrinay and Master Bezhyanya, must address the maturing drive of their daughter and the heiress apparent, Young Mistress Gayadnae. The Mistress' duties to the nation keep her away from her bed many a day and night and Grayt, the serving woman to the ruling family must many times fill in for Arrinay. Such trysts are common in their society and bear no stigma. There are other goings on around the Main House and you'll find Grayt and Young Mistress Gayadnae at the center of much of it.

But, just what is Grayt and where does she come from?  Why does The Daichi surge out of control in the bed chamber of the Young Mistress?
